Last Wednesday I ventured out to Dooley's Lidcombe to watch the second State of Origin while my family enjoyed the live thrill at the stadium. The carpark was full as was the club, however, security were advising patrons on entering and after I drove around for nearly 30 minutes I finally secured a car park on the street. Now as you can imagine by this stage I was hungry, tired and frustrated so the initial first impression of this club, which I hadn't been to for years was going to set the scene for the whole night. I was met at the door by the most charming security personnel, who greeted me warmly, asked if they could direct me to where I wanted to go and then proceeded to walk me to the bistro.
Sometime later on leaving the same personnel were there and once again a warm and friendly farewell, promoting membership and the benefits of the club without being pushy. Guess what I joined, who wouldn't with this great service and it was security who provided this excellent service.

MOONEY MOONEY
Only 200 metres from the busy F3 freeway is an amazing little oasis, Mooney Mooney Club, Kowan Road. This is a wonderful hidden treasure with excellent staff and the most amazing restaurant Coastal. Only 30 minutes from the heart of the city it's a trip worth taking. Overlooking the Hawkesbury River with a great outside area for children, I can't wait to go back during summer. We enjoyed a scruptious dinner, quality food and value.

Dining in Canberrra
Next time your in Canberra and looking for a great place to eat try Rendeavous at Manuka. Great food and atmosphere, whether it be a dinner for two or for the family. Service is excellent and the gelato's are out of this world. It gets very busy so you may need to book to avoid disappointment.

COFFEE & SERVICE EARLY IN THE MORNING
This morning I was in the Eastern suburbs and had some time to spare before going to the airport and while driving down Oxford Street I noticed a great coffee shop called Coco Cubano and as I had time to spare and in need of a coffee, I popped in. What a great place, the service was excellent from a young Irish guy, the presentation of the food was appealing and the premises were wonderfully clean and the decor very interesting. I ordered my usual fussy capacino and the barista made it perfectly.
If you are looking for a great place for a coffee and a comfortable place to sit and watch the world go by this is the place. It's opposite the Court House.

SERVICE - MARIOTT HOTEL SURFERS PARADISE
I have spent most of April in QLD attending the National Speakers Association of Australia conference and the Australian Champion of Champion Championships for Highland Dancing in Caloundra. Over the 3 weeks I have experienced some amazing service.
If you are ever in Caloundra you must visit a lovely little store in the main street, Comino's Drapery, it's one of those stores that has every little knick knack that you have been looking for but can never find. The owner is 80 years old and only opens 2 days a week for a few hours, he is a real character and provides excellent service.
The Mariott Hotel at Surfers Paradise employs great staff in all areas of the hotel, providing service with a smile and always willing to help.

Menopause the Musical - wow, great singing and a good laugh, followed by a wonderful coffee and cake provided by excellent staff at the Stardust Cafe, Rooty Hill RSL. The coffee shop was absolutely full with queues of 25 plus people that just never stopped. The exceptional staff Hao, Dragana and Analise worked well as a team working through the orders and never losing their patience or their smiles. Well done.
